Pakistan Rejects Claims of Jet Involvement in Saudi-led Yemen Offensive
Pakistan has officially denied a report by The New York Times claiming its fighter jets participated in Saudi-led offensive operations in Yemen. A spokesperson for the Pakistani government described the allegations as "fabricated" and "baseless," reiterating that Pakistan’s military support to Saudi Arabia is strictly defensive and technical in nature, centered on the protection of Saudi territory.
The denial comes amid heightened regional tensions following the operationalization of the Saudi-Pakistan-Turkey defense pact. While the NYT report suggested Pakistani aerial involvement in reclaiming Red Sea territories from Houthi control, Islamabad maintains that its forces are not engaged in offensive combat beyond Saudi borders.
